Record University applications

posted 4 Feb 2016, 07:27 by H Slim   [ updated 4 Feb 2016, 07:27 ]

I am delighted to report a record total of 60 University applications have been submitted by our year 13 students. After record results when they took their GCSEs, these students have gone on to great success in our sixth form provision and are now well prepared and ready for the next step of their educational journey.

The highlight of the year is the offer from Girton College at Cambridge University for Alice Nevard to study Psychology and Behavioural Sciences. Having had the aspiration to apply, the interview process took a great deal of courage and CCA provided her with support including advice from former Cambridge students.

She is now determined to achieve the offer she has been given and CCA will proudly support her through to her exams.

At CCA we encourage all our students to have high aspirations. Today I had the privilege of speaking to our two Executive Prefects. They were the first year to join Clacton Coastal Academy and spoke very fondly of their years here and are bravely making plans for the next chapter of their lives.

Kind Regards

Stephanie Neill

Head of Academy

Alice Nevard has secured a conditional offer to study Psychological and Behavioural Sciences at Cambridge University.
