What's going on at CCA

On Wednesday 14th January, CCA hosted its first Careers Fair for students in years 9 - 13, with an opportunity for year 7 and 8 to join in after school. 42 companies, colleges and universities gave their time to answer your questions and provide information and inspiration for your future career choices. There was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day and a genuine buzz about what opportunities exist when students leave CCA. The attendance afterschool was also excellent with many students coming back with more questions and some bringing their parents along to find out more.

The feedback from our guests was universally positive and highlights included:

"Very well behaved children and fab food"

"Excellent mixture of colleges and employers. Very positive attitudes from CCA staff."

"Food excellent, best ever. Organisation very good, fully in-formed at all times, students represented school very well"

"Students very informed, prepared and polite"

There was also excellent feedback from students:

"It has shown me a variety of different paths I could go down, e.g. university, internships."

"It had a friendly atmosphere and people were willing to an-swer your questions."

"It was inspiring"

BNY Mellon left some fantastic prizes for those who correctly answered the flag quiz and these will be awarded in next week's assemblies.

All of our guests were impressed by their first taste of The CCA Way and have agreed to come back next year. I look forward to adding this as a regular calendar event.
