Under 16’s girls NEESSA Final 2014
The under 16’s girls football team travelled to the Weston Homes Community Stadium on Tuesday the 6th of May where they met Stanway in the NEESSA final. The team had their best season so far not losing a match all year. The girls got off to a great start dominating possession and pressuring the Stanway goal. Nancy Butler netted early in the game to give CCA the lead. Once CCA broke through it wasn’t long before Nancy had scored another 3 goals. Team Captain Lauren Bourne slotted home the 5th goal of the game sealing the victory. Vicky Anderson made some stunning saves to keep Stanway out. Alisha Blake and Saffron Heffer did a fantastic job to clear any danger making some tough tackles. Amy Hartly, Lucy Cushway and Kelly Smith dominated the midfield playing in key balls to the striker.
A well-deserved victory for the girls we are all very proud of you. NEESSA Champions 2014!
On Saturday 10th May, a group of very excited students and staff met in Pathfields Road to embark on a journey to The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead. As the students arrived at the centre and looked through the viewing window, their faces displayed pure awe; they couldn’t quite believe the real snow! Once all kitted up they took to the slope for their very first ski lesson. Everyone did exceptionally well and were highly praised by the instructors.
Please join our Edmodo group to keep up to date with future ski trips - 9xcg5v. It is the hope that we will have another trip to The Snow Centre before the academic year is out. It is also hoped that we will have enough students interested to run a trip to the Austrian Alps.
