I came across a comment made by George Bernard Shaw that I believe we might all find relevant. The great writer said, “When I was a young man, I observed that nine out of ten things I did were failures. I didn’t want to be a failure, so I did ten times more work.”
Resilience is the key to everything!
A BIG WELL DONE TO YEAR 8!
Congratulations to Ella Caley, Demi George, Scarlett Giles, Olivia Happer, Jennie Kemp, Ann-Marie Marlborough, Katie-Louise Mason, Kimberley Sears, and Kaci Welch for achieving 100% attendance during week commencing 3rd May . As a reward the girls received donuts and hot chocolate.
Also we are celebrating with the following X band students this week; Maxine Aldwinckle, Dejaa Allen, Harry Beer, Matthew Bond, Aaron Clements, Kiara Furzer, Demi-Rose Haynes, Leah Robinson, Brandon Sheekey and Bryce Woodcraft received a lunch voucher for their attendance reward.
Who will achieve this reward in Y band this week?
Year 9 is getting ready for end of year exams and we have been looking at different revision techniques in preparation. Students should make sure they have spoken to their teachers to find out which key topics they will need to revise.
Options subjects will not be able to change in Year 10 as many will have started to complete their Controlled Assessment at this point. If students or parents are concerned about a subject they should contact the Year Team for a meeting to discuss what options are available.
